Dr. David Newport, MD, CCFP

Dr. David Newport is a family physician with The Peterborough Clinic. He originally opened his practice here September 2006 and retired in July 2023. Dr. Newport returned to practice in January 2025.

Dr. Newport received his degree in Engineering from the University of Waterloo and his degree in Medicine from the University of Ottawa. In addition to his work in family practice, Dr. Newport works doing Peterborough street medicine. He also worked as a hospitalist before dedicating himself to his current roles.

To unwind, Dr. Newport enjoys hockey and cycling.

He is a member of The Canadian College of Family Physicians and the Ontario Medical Association.
