Dr. J. C. Friesen MD, CCFP

Dr. Jeff Friesen has been in Family Practice at The Peterborough Clinic since November 2019. He is also a member of the Quality Committee for the Peterborough Family Health Team.

He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph and his Doctor of Medicine from the Schulich School of Medicine Windsor University campus.

While at the University of Guelph, Dr. Friesen was one of the Team leaders for building the world's longest hopscotch course (Guinness World Record, 2011) which they did for a charity fundraiser.

Prior to joining the Clinic, Dr. Friesen spent time in New Zealand where he practiced as a Family Physician in 2018-2019. In addition to working at the Clinic, he is a Family Physician for Long Term Care patients.

When not playing hockey with the Peterborough Quacks hockey club, Dr. Friesen enjoys spending time with his family. His children have declared him to be the “World’s Okayest Dad.”

Dr. Friesen is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
